Undercover brothers?.. Get outta here!
*Sigh* I thought after Brandon Jennings of the Milwaukie Bucks YouTube video of him singing to Lady GaGa very questionably, that these NBA players will cut the crap. Before anybody gets heated, I have no issue with people's sexual orientation. However, I just want these men to keep it 100. If you're gay than that's what needs to be said upfront.
Here's the skinny; Memphis Grizzlies Josh Selby has been put on blast for sending some questionable messages to another man. Does the term "I'm just curious, not gay, bruh" make any sense? Sorry but no! Selby and a younger male traded DMs on Twitter about getting a hotel room and showing each other some tricks....
Look men, and yes I say men because women are NOT doing this; if you're going to gay we don't expect you to tell everybody. But we expect you to tell the women your fucking. AIDS and STDs are real. And we don't need you spreading it by double dipping in both ponds. And if you are going to be on the low... keeo if off record. Leaving a paper or viral trail is a no-no when you're trying to be sneaky.

I love to read and am currently writing my first fiction novel. I am a hippie at heart who believes that we all need to add love and peace in everything we do. I am also the mother of 2 wonderful boys, a student and a full time hustler.

First off, I want to thank Danielle for getting me hip to her FAVORITE song. This song is a great song that isn’t a new concept at all, but the things that intrigued me about it was the understood statements. Women should really not only use this song, but this CD to help them express there adoration towards their man. As a man, I know how much it means to us for a woman to show her gratitude to what we do or even attempt to do.
The name of the song I am speaking so highly of is Beyonce’s song called “Dance For You” on her latest CD entitled “4”. This song right here is like the manual for a end to a perfect date night. The words are excellent and don’t even need to be verbalized. If you have a man and you wanna have an “Appreciation Night” for that man, listen to this song. She starts off with the appreciation for the jump, not complaining about how long it took for him to get home, or why his socks stink. The appreciation from the jump with make the rest so much easier to take. Your opening has to be real, positive and genuine. If it isn’t real, we will give you the side-eye and ask you, “what do you want me to buy now?” If its not positive, we will instantly shut down and not listen to anything else. If its not genuine, we can tell and your efforts will be futile. So she starts with the appreciation and then leads to her statements of dedication. If a man is secure in knowing that his woman is dedicated to him and them, his work days will be so much more carefree. The phone calls will have less irritation, and those dinners will involve laughter instead of interrogation. That appreciation and dedication will come up again later. It has its purpose each time. She has no issue with expressing for connection and how she loves his heart and missing him when he isn’t around.
“I wanna keep it how it is, so you can never say how it used to be”
That statement has so much meaning in it. It hasn’t even been a full 25 seconds into the song and she has said so much. The statement acknowledges that things do change and people get comfortable. Women sometimes tend to not care are much once they got us. The hair goes from the wrap, to wrapped in a ponytail. The dinner dresses are exchanged for a house coat. There’s sometime no eye contact. We don’t want those changes. We don’t want that new woman that just showed up. Bring the one we fell for back. Matter of fact, do let that woman leave; don’t make us have to bring up how it used to be. Please know that we will.
The chorus expresses how the showing her love is what stays on her mind throughout the day. If we know that we might have a surprise (a good one) when we get home, we might not hit that bar for a couple drinks first. We might not go walk around the mall just to waste time, we might actually catch road rage in our haste to see what you have up your sleeve. This is a woman who is going to keep excitement at the forefront. This is woman who, without force, put blinders on her man. These things have so much significance that is often over looked. She lets him know, “Tonight I’m gonna dance on you, and tonight is going DOWN”. Any man will not refuse. Rock it on him. He gonna wake up remembering it and smile at work the next day thinking about it.
When the song gets to 1:37 to 2:17 she gives you that chance to show off and pop it pop it and drop it on him. Take advantage, and follow the instructions. This when you get closer and let that inner- Diamond out. You all have one. Right at that 2:18 mark, you should already be in his lap, whispering what’s next. The rest is up to you, she already open the flood gates at this point. He will probably take over at this point.
This is how I suggest you keep that fire alive in your healthy relationship. Ladies, take control of the ship and make sure yall keep that relationship going in the right direction. Sometimes the issue that you see us have may be due to the lack of appreciate and dedication shown.
Also the biggest point that is understood, and needs to be recognized is how GOOD and deserving of these things her mate is. This man is loyal, patient, emotional expressive, loyal, well-spoken, possibly a deep thinker, attentive, and did I say loyal. These things (if you can find them all in one man) are very deserving of the treatment of this song. She make sure you expressed these things to show that a man who has all of these qualities show be taken care of, enjoyed and catered to. This is probably a man who thinks of her more and before he thinks of himself. This is a man who will correct his woman if something isn’t right, instead of finding another one to do it the way he likes it. This is a man who most likely doesn’t ask for me, but will do all that is required to keep a smile on his lovers face. For these reasons, you should follow her footsteps of making sure this man is smiling at the end of the night.
