I am a big urban fiction reader and was intrigued when I learned that my favorite writing duo, Ashley and JaQuavis were so young. At the age of 25, they have written over 20 best selling novels, including a trilogy that was on the New York Time’s best selling list. They are the youngest African American duo to make the New York Times best selling list twice. They wrote their first novel when they were only 17 years old and it was written in two weeks. The two are from Flint, Michigan and are also married and raising their one year old son. The couple’s, current book, Murderville, The First of a Trilogy was released under, Cash Money Content, the publishing house of Ronald “Slim” Williams and Bryan “Birdman” Williams, co-owners of Cash Money Records. Murderville, is the story of two lovers from Sierra Leone and their journey to the Mexican drug and sex trade. The couple has also received their first movie deal, which is called Hard Six, based on their novel, Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang.
